Today I spent the day putzing around and cleaning. The kids go to their first half day of school tomorrow and I’m not feeling the greatest. But indeed I hope ya’ll had a great weekend and keep safe.

I don’t have time to go shopping anymore, so now I mostly…go online. I don’t have a real big problem with it, as it’s pretty easy. I need a new microwave oven. For sure. My kids are problem children when it comes to cleaning what they mess up.

My refrigerator is going out. The kicker is, I have another one that is nearly new, but won’t get cold. What the heck is up with that? My husband is handy, but doesn’t have time to fix the darn thing. I saw the one I want and decided that online shopping was actually a pretty great thing. I mean, considering what is going on in my life right now, I figure this is a better way to go, than walking all around stores and dealing with little peons that don’t know what the heck they are talking about and just want to make a sale. How many people have come across that at one time or another, while shopping for just about anything? So…I’ve decided that this kind of online shopping is the way to go! And by the way, any of the highlighted words, are what I have looked at to buy. I think you would be surprised to see the selection and the savings on what you can get. I for sure was!

This year, I am starting the search for the perfect fruitcake recipe, or by golly I am going to make my own! Yes indeed, I’ve decided to give fruitcake one last try. Heck, the way I figure it…if it doesn’t turn out well, I can always shellac it and use it as a door stop!

Sometimes it is just impossible to finish a homework assignment on time if you have to visit the library or go to the bookstore to hunt for the appropriate information. And it is not always possible to have a personal tutor or a family member who can help with the homework assignment. This is one reason why I love the Internet. The Internet is not only for chatting with friends, playing games, or downloading great stuff. The Internet is a great way to find the right information to help with homework assignments. The other day I signed on to my directv and clear bundle and did a search online for information on the Civil War in America. I couldn’t believe it. In less than a second the search engine returned more than enough information to help me write a very detailed and through report on the Civil War and how it affected economic trade in America. I composed the report quickly. All the information just a mouse click away. That left me plenty of time to play a few games and chat with friends online after I finished my homework assignment.

He has to eat right. He is getting tall, but to me looks like a stick. His doctor says he’s fine, but I’ve got this hang up about him not eating much. He HAS to keep up his grades, of course. Most schools have this policy. His school doesn’t care much, as long as the kids is good at sports, which is a darn shame, but it’s true. And my son is very fast. So he was snatched up pronto by the coach, who has been on me for two years to let him play. And he has to do his chores. Hmmm..that will be a feat of accomplishment. We’ll see what happens.

In case anyone goes to the game and sees that woman climbing over the fence if her kid gets even the slightest bit bumped?? That would be me going to “bump” the person who tackled her son!

I have been kicking around the idea of inside window boxes for plants, so I can grow my herbs and various ivy plants in the house during the winter months. Okay, maybe just not “kicking the idea around”. I’ve been looking for possibilities that won’t take up much room, but will allow me to enjoy my hobby during the long winter months, and I’m pretty darn serious about this project!

Pure and simple, I love playing in the dirt and want my “babies” in the house for the winter. I think that window boxes for flowers and plants will be the way to do this and instead of having them outside, I’ll have them inside my house. I dread winter and this is giving me something to look forward to! My family of course, are humoring me (once again), but I know they are thinking, “Mom is working on yet another project”. Oh well…when Mom is happy, they are happy!

Every girl needs a good pair of boots, a hat and a fancy skirt. Even if the only one who sees it is a horse.

Getting the kids ready for the start of school will begin this coming week and then more medical tests, doctor’s appointments and paperwork up to my chin to fill out and hand in. For now…I’m just enjoying watching my flowers, vines and grass “play” in the rain! Have a great weekend!

I am a collector of spices. I don’t care what kind it is, if it sounds interesting I buy it. I love to go to various stores and look at the interesting spices from all over the world. But this time shopping, I was looking for the perfect spice rack. Since I knew that it would take me hours and hours to get out of the store if I went, I opted for the online shopping. I sort of got lost for a few days instead of the mere hours it would have taken me in the regular store. The internet can be pretty cool for things like this, I must admit!

I debated about about the certain kitchen spice racks I wanted to get, and kept going back and forth between pages. (Can you imagine what I do in stores? LOL). I loved so many of them and of course wanted to keep the spending down to just what I needed. I finally made up my mind and bought some great items. Now I have more room. My beloved spices are somewhat organized, and I even have an idea how to use the racks and bottles for holding my little sewing do dads! Am I finally getting organized????  Scary thought for my family, but indeed no doubt a welcome change from my clutter!
